Sleaford Sewage Treatment Works
A 13m long 304 Stainless steel box section fabrication incorporating fabricated sections, cutouts, shape changes and welded components. All fabrication to a client design for a sewage treatment application.
The 250 x 150 x 5mm rectangular box section (RHS) was processed by laser to produce the pattern of rectangular cutouts and the arrangement of circular holes. The weld preps also laser cut for the transverse welds to produce the 13m length.
The 13m length was welded to with our standard 6mm butt weld procedure. Customer supplied threaded machined bosses were welded into position with our standard 6mm fillet weld procedure.
The completed fabrication was subject to 3rd party dye penetrant inspection and pressure testing to 1.50 Bar (for leak inspection and testing).
Open box channel section launder fabrication from sheared plates, formed and folded to our clients design.
Finished fabrication was pickled and passivated prior to dispatch. See more at pickling and passivating
